Thomas C. Crosby first practiced law in Oakland with Crosby, Heafey, Roach & May, a firm his great-grandfather and grandfather founded. In 1983 he joined Gordon & Rees LLP, where he practiced law for 18 years until he and Buddy Rowell opened Crosby & Rowell LLP in Oakland. Tom has been successfully litigating tort cases for 33 years, emphasizing personal injury and property damage claims resulting from alleged dangerous premises, product failure, chemical and toxic exposure and professional malpractice. Representative corporate clients have included Costco Wholesale Corporation, ITT Corporation, W.R. Grace & Co., Hewlett-Packard Co., Union Pacific Railroad, BNSF Railroad Company, United Agri-Products, Merck, and Federal Signal Corporation. A graduate of Santa Clara University (B.A., cum laude, 1977) and Hastings College of the Law (J.D., 1981), Tom has three children and lives in Oakland.

William B. Rowell (“Buddy”) began practicing law at Gordon & Rees LLP, San Francisco, and left in May of 2001 with Tom Crosby to form their own firm in Oakland. Buddy has been recognized and profiled by the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal as one of California’s “Promising Young Litigators.” His expertise is tort litigation, especially toxic, product, public entity, construction defect, and premise liability. Buddy graduated from the University of California, Berkeley (B.A., 1991) and from the University of San Francisco School of Law (J.D., magna cum laude, McAuliffe Honor Society, 1995). Born and raised in Palo Alto, Buddy is the grandson of the late Frank Lee Crist Sr., attorney and State Assemblyman. Buddy lives in Lafayette with his wife and three children.

Dan Goldberg received his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (2012), cum laude, where he served as a staff editor for the Hastings Communication and Entertainment Law Journal and received the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Legal Writing and Research. During law school, Dan also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable A. James Robertson of the San Francisco Superior Court and was a member of the Hastings Civil Justice Clinic where he represented indigent workers in wage and hour disputes and disabled applicants in Social Security disability hearings. Dan received his B.A. in Psychology from the University of South Alabama (2008), magna cum laude, where he was a member of the Division I baseball team after being awarded a full athletic scholarship. Eric Stephenson came to Crosby & Rowell LLP after beginning his legal career at Rimon, P.C. He graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law (2011), where he earned a Health Law Certificate. During law school he worked for the Maryland Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, where he drafted criminal charging documents and assisted the investigation of claims of Medicaid fraud and elder abuse. He also worked for Center for Health and Homeland Security, researching state emergency regulations and biological bioterrorism. Eric received a B.A. in Psychology and Philosophy from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles (2008) and resides in San Jose.
